The political parties of Morocco

This English translation is still under review and subject to further improvements to ensure enjoyable reading with maximum accuracy and fidelity to the original document.

Armand Colin - 1955 - Page 111

"Almaghrib remained the only nationalist newspaper and continued to appear until the declaration of war, always animated by Saïd Hajji. The newspaper appeared twice weekly on two pages only because of the modicity of its financial means and was issued in 1500 specimens. Its acknoweledged sympathy to the powers of the Axis has been the cause of its suspension in 1939. It is probable that only the English supports that Saïd Hajji enjoyed had guaranteed such a long life to the newspaper 'Almaghrib.'

Footnote: Born in 1912, of father tradesman, currently writing in english and french, Saïd Hajji was the best and most talentuous polemist that Morokko knew."
